Referred to as the holy fruit of the Himalayas, Sea buckthorn is extracted from the berries, and seeds of the sea buckthorn plant (Hippophae rhamnoides), that grows at high altitudes in the northwest Himalayan region.

The oil is potent in carotenoids like beta carotene and phytosterols that reduce redness. Sea buckthorn oil is also known for strengthening the epidermis and the skin’s cell membranes

Clinical studies have further shown that the oil can actually improve skin metabolism and retard skin maturation, thereby slowing down the ageing process. It can also contribute to the reduction of the damaging effects of sun radiation due to the wealth of nutrients it contains.
